Black glass with a silver patina

This colour is part of the CiM colour archive and not generally available (last checked 9/2/2020)
- Gunmetal is a very soft glass to work with, melting quickly and remaining fluid as white and pale opaque colours tend to do.
- It can flow to spread over the top of surface decoration if worked for a long time in the flame.
- I find an oxidising flame will bring out the metallic patina most successfully.
Picture description:
Gunmetal beads in various shapes. Some have been decorated with white latticino surface decoration.
I made these beads in autumn 2009.
